Love Island could be set for its biggest shake-up yet as its makers eye up villas beyond Majorca to mark a decade of the ITV dating show
Love Island is set for a major revamp as it approaches its 10th anniversary in 2025. The ITV dating show's producers are reportedly ready to quadruple their weekly budget to secure a new location beyond Majorca.
An insider revealed: "ITV Studios are scouting out properties for an unconfirmed forthcoming series and are prepared to splash out £20k a week on the right one. They've got their eye on an incredible sprawling villa in the Algarve that is completely different to their more traditional current abode. It's circular and really modern, and it's been used for a French reality show before so it's well set up for filming.
The Love Island franchise, currently hosted by the stunning Maya Jama, is on the brink of uncertainty regarding its future beyond this year. Insiders have hinted that producers are keen to mark the show's 10-year milestone with a bang, despite a noticeable dip in viewership.
