As of 10 p.m. on Tuesday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 285 kilometers east northeast of General Santos City or 195 kilometers east of Davao City, according to the Weather Advisory posted by PAGASA.

The LPA, the weather bureau added, is less likely to develop into a Tropical Depression within 48 hours.

The effect of the shear line and LPA will bring moderate to heavy rains over Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte. Light to moderate with at times heavy rains is expected over Central Visayas, Davao Region, and the rest of CARAGA. "Under these conditions, flooding and rain-induced landslides are possible, especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards as identified in hazard maps and in area with significant antecedent rainfall," PAGASA also reported.

The disaster risk reduction and management offices in the affected area are advised to take necessary precautions.
