The Ludlow Repair Café is opening its doors for the first time on January 25th, offering free repair services for a wide range of items.
The first Ludlow Repair Café event is taking place on Saturday, 25 January at the Elim Church in Smithfield Car Park between 9.30am and 12 noon.
With the festive season behind us and spring not quite around the corner, the volunteer team at the Ludlow Repair Café is preparing to welcome those Christmas lights and decorations that either didn't quite work as expected or need a bit of tender loving care – as well as some of those garden items that need sprucing up and getting ready to roll once the gardens start to flourish and the temperatures begin to rise. \The Repair Café opens its doors to the public at 9.30am on January 25th, and apart from TVs, will be ready to handle the usual range of items, whether they are household, garden, electrical or mechanical, toys or clocks, ceramics, furniture, clothing, or sewing machines! As usual, it's one item per person, and the organizers ask that electrical items be dropped off between 9.30am and 10.30am. Other items can arrive up to 11am, and all items must be collected on the day. \The organizers also kindly request that all items brought to the Repair Café have been cleaned or washed beforehand. For anyone unable to make it to the Elim Church on the 25th, or for items that malfunction between café events, the Ludlow Repair Café operates an at-home service
