Palma has been in red hot form for the Hoops in pre-season, scoring in both of his side's victories over Manchester City and Chelsea
LUIS Palma treated Celtic’s transatlantic fans to some of his dance moves in the United States over the weekend, writes Michael Gannon in Indiana.
The Honduran has come back with a bang as well, with goals against City and Chelsea in front of tons of US-based Hondurans in the crowds – and he is hoping to show Celtic fans some more of his moves this coming campaign. Palma said: “It has been very good. It has been pretty special. It was important for me to build confidence for the new season but to play in front of so many Honduran fans was really special.
“It is nice to play for the Honduran people though and show it’s possible to play at a high level and for a club like Celtic. It’s a big motivation for me.” It was quick and slick, they pressed high to win the ball and then kept it for fun before exploding to life in the final third. The goals had a bit of everything. The opener was a well-worked short corner that Matt O’Riley finished off with a brilliant touch and controlled finish.
And the high-profile wins have set the side up perfectly for the new season. He said: “It was great fun. As a team we showed a lot of character against Chelsea and now we are looking forward to the new season. “It has been great but there is always space to improve and things to work on as individuals and as a team. I know I need to work to improve my individual displays.”
