Enjoy a four-course Christmas dinner on board a heritage steam train ride through the Greater Manchester countryside

This December you can tuck into a luxury Christmas meal while riding a heritage steam train through the Greater Manchester countryside. East Lancashire Railway , which is known for its festive events, is bringing back its luxury Christmas dining experiences.

Diners are invited to take a seat on one of the restored Pullman-style steam train carriages, which takes you through the gorgeous Irwell Valley. The festive menu features mouth-watering dishes, including fresh ricotta and asparagus cheesecake with a mixed salad, port and apricot chutney; traditional roasted turkey served with kilted chipolata and stuffing, and of course homemade Christmas pudding with brandy sauce .
