Might be aliens
The nights are getting darker. And as a result, a local phenomenon has returned to Southport and the lands south of the Ribble Estuary.
But it seems this isn't the first time the fuchsia-coloured sky has appeared over the town. Initially, lots of people believed it could have been a result of a bizarre natural phenomenon.Tomato plant Flavourfresh Salads, in Scarisbrick, has for the past year been using LED lights to help aid the growth of its award winning fruit, reported the Liverpool Echo in 2017. The lights, which are a mixture of blue and red, are used in the greenhouses and when combined appear bright pink.
“If you get a nice clear night you won’t see it but if it is misty, raining or foggy the LED lights will shine on the cloud and that is what gives it that glow. Last night, the pink colour sky could be seen again with one driver saying they noticed the odd light when driving from Preston towards Southport. People were quick to comment on the picture that it was in fact the lights from Flavourfresh.
