There are delays and closures on roads across the region following snow, rain and ice
this morning. It comes after another yellow weather warning was issued by the Met Office for snow and ice, which was in place from midnight until 12pm on Monday, January 6.there are several issues, according to traffic management system Inrix. The M56 westbound exit slip is partially blocked and there is heavy traffic due to a crash at J11 A56 Chester Road .
There are also "severe delays" on the opposite side of M56 and two lanes are closed due to another crash. On the M53 southbound, it is partially blocked and there is queueing traffic due to emergency repairs at J7 B5132 Netherpool Road . On the A533 Southern Expressway in Runcorn four lorries have been stranded along this stretch and it has been closed in both directions closed. There is queueing from the A56 to Murdishaw Avenue. There are also reported issues on Queens Drive.
