The congestion as a result of the incident is causing delays of around 45 minutes and traffic is as far back as Darwen. Traffic was moving by around 8.10am but congestion remains in the area.A spokesperson for National Highways: North West said: “Traffic is stopped on the M65 westbound between J3 Riley Green and J2 M61 due to a collision.“There are 6 miles congestion on approach causing 45 min delays above normal journey time.
