Bolton Council says it has changed bin lorry routes in a bid to make services more reliable.
There have been major changes to bin collections in a town, with some cut from fortnightly to every four weeks.
Nine new bin trucks fitted with "more energy efficient engines" have begun working on the new routes with a further 10 vehicles arriving in the coming weeks.Bolton Council Councillor Richard Silvester, the cabinet member for climate change and environment, said: “Having not seen any changes since 2010, our waste collection service has needed an overhaul for quite some time."By reconfiguring our routes, all residents will benefit from an improved service."
