More than 130,000 signatures collected urging action on Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman ruling that women missed out during state pension changes
A major update has been issued by the government to campaigners battling for justice for women pensioners. The WASPI campaign says millions of women who missed out during changes to the state pension age.
Now it has passed the 100,000 signature threshold the DWP has responded - here is the full statement: “The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman’s report is not about changes to the State Pension age. The PHSO have been investigating the way DWP communicated State Pension age changes from 1995 onwards impacting 1950s-born women. The Ombudsman published their report on 21 March 2024, the culmination of almost 6 years’ work.
