A choir received a certificate of appreciation for their 100 years of service from the Mayor after performing at a full council meeting last week.
The choir were delighted to receive from the Mayor of Rossendale, Councillor Anne Cheetham, a certificate of appreciation which read: “In recognition of all your work and that of your predecessors over the last 100 years and a token of appreciation on behalf of Rossendale Borough Council. For 100 years this tradition has been continued in an enthusiastic manner, combining voices from throughout the borough.
Charles added by mentioning to the council of their recent win of The Lancashire Choir of the Year in Lancaster in November 2022 which got a round of applause from the council. At the end of the mini concert, Charles thanked Matthew Thomas and Liz Baker for their hard work.
