A 29-year-old man has been charged with four offences following a knife attack in Dublin that injured three men. Gabriel Fereira Motta Valladeres appeared in court charged with two counts of assault causing harm, possession of a box-cutting knife, and possession of scissors.

A detective with the Gardaí said Mr Valladeres, who is originally from Brazil, was arrested at about 22:30 local time on Monday and charged about an hour later. His lawyer did not make a bail application but asked for immediate medical attention for the defendant.
