The remains of 69-year-old Tomislav Nemes were discovered after out-of-state relatives called police to ask for a welfare check to be done at his Benowa home on April 17. A crime scene was declared at the Edinburgh Street address, and police established Operation Victor Countryside to investigate the circumstances of his death.Police believe Mr Nemes had been dead for more than 12 months.
Detectives have today released vision of the welfare check at Mr Nemes' home in April in an appeal for more information from the public which could help the police investigation.taken into custody at Southport and charged with one count of murder.Police continue to urge any friends, family or associates of Mr Nemes, along with anyone who visited his home in recent years, to come forward.
