A man has died and another is in a stable condition after their boat was reportedly struck by a whale and flipped in Sydney's Botany Bay on Saturday morning.
New South Wales' Water Police responded to reports of the incident about 6am after hearing two people were in the water off Cape Banks at La Perouse - the northern headland of Botany Bay.
Responders pulled a man from the water unconscious, however, he died after attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
