A man from Omagh has died following a road traffic collision in December. Sean McGaughey, 56, was involved in a crash between a car and a van. Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed the death of a 56-year-old man following a road traffic collision in Omagh last month. Sean McGaughey, from the Omagh area, was the driver of a van involved in a crash with a car on the Drumnakilly Road area on Sunday, December 22nd, shortly before 8.40pm. Officers from the PSNI, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, attended the scene and transported two men to the hospital for treatment. Tragically, Mr.
McGaughey succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. Inspector Cherith Adair from the PSNI's Collision Investigation Unit is leading the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision. Anyone with information that could assist the investigation, particularly those who were traveling in the area at the time and captured any dash-cam or mobile phone footage, is urged to contact the PSNI.
