The Ballyfin Demesne in Ireland was once voted the best hotel in the world A man has been found dead at a luxury five-star hotel in Ireland once frequented by Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. The victim, a US national in his 60s, was pronounced dead after allegedly being assaulted at the popular Ballyfin Demesne hotel near the Slieve Bloom mountains. A man in his 30 believed to have been travelling with the American has been arrested in connection with the assault.
The Ballyfin Demesne, which charges £1,500 a night, is a popular spot for celebrities and famously hosted Kim Kardashian and kanye West during their five-day honeymoon in 2014 after they were turned away from Glin Castle. Neither the victim nor the suspect have been named. The hotel was recently voted Top Resort Hotel in Ireland and UK 2024 by Travel + Leisure magazine.
