'Well done to everyone who got Chris Delaney over the line'
A man who was mocked by Lee Anderson for only having 'one Twitter follower' has now ended up with more followers than the Ashfield MP himself as a result. Chris Delaney, a full-time senior care worker who regularly posts tweets attacking the Conservative Party, responded to a post by Mr Anderson on January 11 in which the Tory MP questioned an article in The Guardian saying that Labour was planning to overhaul the routes back into work for the sick and long-term unemployed.
Chris Delaney responded by writing: "Tory MP, worried about his re-election prospects, takes any opportunity to slate the opposition?" Mr Anderson then responded to Mr Delaney's criticism by writing: "You have one Twitter follower in five years."Hardly an influencer are you when even your friends refuse to follow you. Assuming you have friends," the MP added.
