A man raped and impregnated an 11-year-old girl who a judge said was ‘especially vulnerable,’ a court ruled.
In March 2018, Smith was arrested in Nevada and extradited back to Oregon after it was discovered that the girl was 18 weeks pregnant. She said Smith was the father and a DNA test later confirmed the victim’s claim to be true, according toProsecutors said that Smith fled the state shortly after he was charged with rape and sexual abuse.
Smith was sentenced to 25 years in prison after his guilty plea and is being held at the Klamath County Jail
