Glasgow City Council confirmed the closure of the site 'due to an ongoing police incident' after the discovery on Wednesday morning.
Emergency services were alerted to the discovery at Queenslie Recycling Centre in Easterhouse at around 8.40am on Wednesday.
A number of police vehicles and officers were pictured at the scene, including some in forensic suits. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.40am on Wednesday, 10 April, 2024 we were made aware that the body of a man had been discovered at a recycling centre on Easter Queenslie Road, Glasgow.Join the Daily Record's WhatsApp community here and get the latest news sent straight to your messages.It read: "Due to an ongoing Police incident Queenslie Recycling Centre is currently closed to all vehicles and residents."Further updates will be issued.
