A man hit by a 68 mph roller coaster train at an amusement park in Ohio has been airlifted to a trauma unit in critical condition, and the ride has been closed pending an investigation.Kings Island Central theme park, in Cincinnati, said in an early-hours statement Thursday that 'this evening someone entered a restricted area of Banshee and was struck by a Banshee train. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
'Trains can hit speeds up to 68 mph as they run through a '167-foot lift hill, 150-foot curved first drop, a dive loop, a vertical loop encircling the lift hill, a zero-gravity roll, a pair of batwing inversions, outside loop, spiral, in-line roll and carousel.'The park's rules state that riders have to be between 52 and 78 inches tall, wear a shoulder harness with a between-the-legs safety belt and must 'maintain proper riding posture.
