UEFA have released the latest coefficient club rankings which is based on performances across the last four seasons, with Liverpool ranked in the top five
Liverpool have been ranked fourth in the latest UEFA coefficient ranking. The Reds competed in the Europa League last season and reached the quarter-final before losing to Atalanta.
Before that, Liverpool had been in the Champions League for six successive years. They won the competition in 2019 and have reached the final on two more occasions, falling to defeat in both of them to Real Madrid. But the UEFA coefficient ranking only looks at performances across the last four seasons.
And with that taken in mind, it has been decided that Liverpool sit fourth in that regard, behind Bayern Munich in third, second-place Real Madrid, and leaders Manchester City. The Reds are in front of Serie A side Roma, Paris Saint-Germain, Villarreal, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Inter Milan, who make up the top 10.
Outside of the top 10 include Bayer Leverkusen , Manchester United , West Ham , Barcelona and Arsenal . Liverpool have a heightened position on the list due to their impressive form in Europe over the past couple of years and they need to go far this season if they want to jump even further.4 - Liverpool10 - Inter Milan
