Will Connolly cracked an egg on the head of a senator who blamed immigration for the Christchurch terror attacks.
Police are searching for a man accused of assaulting Will Connolly, the teenager who cracked an egg on the head of controversial Australian senator Fraser AnningThe rally came days after 50 worshippers were killed in an attack at two mosques in New Zealand, something Mr Anning blamed on Muslim immigration.
The Queensland politician struck out at Mr Connolly, who was then tackled to the ground by the senator's supporters.Detectives in Melbourne say a third man"kicked [Mr Connolly] in the body a number of times" while he was"being held on the ground".Victoria Police have released an image of a man they believe"may be able to assist with [police] enquiries".
Mr Connolly and Mr Anning have been interviewed about the matter but the investigation"remains ongoing", a spokeswoman added.
