Blackburn man who witnessed up to four deaths a day praised for his efforts during the pandemic
The efforts of a man who went above and beyond to support Blackburn and Darwen families during the hardest times of the pandemic have been praised.
Imam Fazal has been commended for the "vital role" he played during this difficult time, meeting patients' wishes in their last moments, as their loved ones could not be by their bedside.Suleman Khonat, Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen, said: "Imam Fazal told us that there was a time at the height of the pandemic when he was dealing with three and occasionally four deaths a day.
