A Glasgow man threatened his neighbours while holding a baseball bat amid an ongoing dispute.

Callum Pepper, 31, engaged in an argument with his neighbours, who were taking their bins out on October 18, 2022, in the city’s Bridgeton.

According to the witnesses, they were making efforts not to disturb Pepper, who began shouting and swearing towards them as they passed his property.From within his door, Pepper began threatening the witnesses, stating: “I will bash you, crack you in the nut. There will be hatchets thrown across your face.”The court heard Pepper claimed the witnesses were taking a picture of him.On October 23, 2022, Pepper was arrested, cautioned and charged, to which he made no reply.

Pepper appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court for sentencing after previously admitting behaving in a threatening abusive manner, shouting, swearing and uttering threats whilst holding a baseball bat.She noted that Pepper had serious offences on his record from ten years ago.His lawyer said: “He accepts his behaviour was unacceptable. The complainer has been the accused and Mr Pepper the complainer on various matters.
