A mini 'heatwave' will arrive in the UK after the Bank Holiday weekend
A mini ‘heatwave’ will hit the UK next week following Storm Lillian. Temperatures are set to reach the high 20s and it will even ‘feel like’ 32C in Greater Manchester.
Gusts of up to 80mph are forecast over the course of Friday morning, along with heavy rain. The Met Office warns that this could “lead to disruption to travel and infrastructure”. The warning is in place until 11am on Friday.Conditions expected to remain cool over the weekend with highs of just 17C forecast. It will be overcast with the odd shower. But the weather is set to make a drastic turn on Wednesday as hot air arrives from Europe.
On Friday August 30 it will be a pleasant 22C for most of the day in Manchester, remaining warm well into the evening. Temperatures will cool slightly into the weekend, but will remain warm with highs of 20C.
