The Met Office has urged people to 'be prepared' amid a storm warning for much of the UK - but Greater Manchester looks set to avoid the worst of the stormy weather.
The Met Office said that while the warning is in place, 'multiple rounds of heavy showers and thunderstorms may lead to some disruption'. People should 'be prepared for the impacts of the storm, forecasters warned.According to the forecast, Greater Manchester should avoid the worst of the wet and stormy weather. After a rainy morning, the clouds are set to clear through the day with sunny intervals forecast for this afternoon.
More sunny intervals are expected. The weather is expected to be mainly dry and warm over the weekend, with average highs of around 22C predicted on Saturday and Sunday.
