Officers are now appealing to the public for help.
The incident occurred around 5.30am on Thursday, August 10, when a man entered a property in the Tiree Road area and stole a grey Honda Civic, registration FD67 GTU.
The accused is described as around 5ft 10 inches, of medium build with short, dark hair. He was wearing a blue tracksuit with a black stripe down the side and black and white trainers. It is believed he drove off in the vehicle which was seen around 5.55am in the Springfield Road area.Sergeant Greig McKail said:"Our enquiries are ongoing to trace the suspect and the vehicle and we are appealing to the public for help.
"We believe the Honda has sustained damage to the front bumper and we are asking anyone who comes across it to get in touch with officers.Anyone who can help is asked to contact Police
