The 2012 All-Ireland winning manager was appointed for a second time as Donegal boss on Monday night
1992 All-Ireland winner Manus Boyle says only time will tell if Jim McGuinness has the talent to work with on his second coming as Donegal boss.
The following year he led them to the first of three Ulster titles and in 2012 Donegal landed the All-Ireland title, before McGuinness took them to the 2014 final again, where they lost out to Kerry. Boyle says questions have been asked of the current generation since they surprise 2020 Ulster final defeat by Cavan.
“It was Murphy and McFadden that got all the scores, big Neil that dominated the middle of the field, along with Rory Kavanagh and Ryan Bradley, and then Anthony Thompson, Leo McCloone, an exceptional group. This time around McGuinness hasn’t had time with the younger players.
