It comes after detectives revealed it is now believed he may have gone into the water after being seen on CCTV leaning over the railings of Chelsea Bridge in west London.

Police have issued a new photo of Abdul Shokoor Ezedi, who only had his asylum granted on his third application. He was handed a suspended sentence for a sexual offence in 2018 and was discharged from probation supervision in 2020. The last-known sighting of Ezedi was captured in an image taken at 8.48pm on Wednesday in Caledonian Road, north London, less than two hours after the assault. Ezedi is believed to have purchased a bottle of water from a Tesco store before leaving and turning right. He has significant injuries to the right side of his face.
