Drivers were caught up in queues across the city this afternoon
Many of the roads in north Liverpool and the city centre have descended into chaos this afternoon with traffic causing significant delays. With a significant pro-Palestine march taking place around Liverpool's waterfront and Liverpool FC playing at Anfield , drivers in much of the city faced a build-up of traffic. The pro-Palestine demonstration saw thousands of people gather in the city on the eve of the Labour Party Conference which is due to begin at ACC Liverpool tomorrow, Sunday, September 22. Liverpool also kicked off at home at 3pm against AFC Bournemouth. There were significant traffic delays in south Liverpool following a two car crash on Menlove Avenue. Further disruption was caused in Liverpool city centre following an incident near Lime Street station.
