TGI Fridays has restaurants across the UK including two in Liverpool
TGI Fridays has listed all of its UK sites as for sale including two restaurants in Merseyside. The restaurant's UK owner, Hostmore, saw its share price plummet in the last week after it announced it had dropped plans to buy up outlets in the US. TGI Friday's owners hope to complete a rapid sale of all 87 restaurants across the UK by the end of this month. The restaurant chain has two Merseyside locations: Liverpool ONE in Liverpool city centre and New Mersey Retail Park in Speke .
Now Hostmore is in the process of selling its UK restaurants to new owners, with the aim of becoming a fully franchise-operated model. It remains unconfirmed whether all of TGI's restaurants will be saved, or just a selection, with the possibility of others being taken over by another chain. TGI Fridays opened its first UK restaurant in the 1980s and has since been a popular destination for birthdays and parties. The first branch of T.G.I.
