PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is set to welcome today South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, who arrived in Manila on Sunday, the Presidential Communications Office said.The Philippines is Yoon's first stop in his six-day Southeast Asian swing, which will conclude his and Marcos ' participation in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit in Laos later in the week.
It said that Yoon's visit coincides with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries in March 1949.During their meeting, Marcos and Yoon are expected to discuss areas of mutual interest such as cooperation in the political, security and defense, maritime, economic and development fields, people-to-people ties, as well as labor and consular matters.
