Mariah Carey named Billboard Music Awards 2019 icon and will perform because she’s a queen
Mariah Carey will be queen of the night at the Billboard Music Awards 2019 as she’s set to receive the prestigious Icon award.
After thanking the awards for the gong, Mariah shared a series of Instagram Stories noting her incredible career highlights, including her five octave range and whistle tone. She’s isn’t called ‘the voice’ for nothing. Mariah will likely perform a medley of her hits during the celebratory performance at the BBMAs, including Honey, Heartbreaker and Emotions.
