The dating expert was flooded with well wishes when she confirmed she'd been diagnosed with colon cancer
Married at First Sight star Mel Schilling has offered a health update after revealing her cancer diagnosis. The dating expert was flooded with well wishes when she confirmed she'd been diagnosed with colon cancer back in December.
Mel went on to tell fans she was suffering pain in her stomach while filming the reality series out in Australia and explained how she was set to have a five-centimetre tumour removed over Christmas. The surgery has since gone ahead with Mel having keyhole surgery to remove a cancerous tumour in her colon.
Now, as Married at First Sight Australia continues to air in the UK on E4, Mel has offered a health update. She chatted to hosts Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden on their Heart radio show about her health and also teased the upcoming series of MAFS UK - which is currently being filmed. Mel continued: "I've learned there is a lot of different types of chemo... so the type of chemo that I have, doesn't really make me sick. It's not going to make me lose my hair. I have other side effects like tingly fingers, that's a funny one and very sensitive to cold. So I have to wear gloves a lot. And just a little bit tired."
