ITV 's Soccer Aid viewers had a surprise visit from Martin Lewis , the Money Saving Expert, on Sunday night, who interrupted proceedings with an "important" message for viewers. The financial guru took over the coverage of the star-studded event, hosted by Dermot O'Leary and Alex Scott, on Sunday evening .
He explained: "When most people are paid, 20 per cent of tax is usually taken off. But Gift Aid means, donate to charity and the charity gets your money and that tax back. The celebrity-filled line-up featured cricket icon Stuart Broad, I'm A Celebrity's Sam Thompson, Strictly Come Dancing's Bobby Brazier and former EastEnders actor Danny Dyer.
