A Merseyside family who were on the first Jet2 holidays’ flight from Liverpool John Lennon Airport have won a free getaway. Last week, Jet2 celebrated a major milestone as they waved off their first ever flight from Liverpool on March 28 to Tenerife. The inaugural flight was followed by a flight to Lanzarote, with holidaymakers jetting off to the popular sunshine destination for the Easter holidays. The ECHO was invited behind-the-scenes before the first flight departed at 8am that day.
For the first day of flying, hundreds of holidaymakers were treated to a VIP customer experience, including a red-carpet welcome and personalised gifts.
