Some miserable conditions are expected this weekend
Met Eireann have forecast the return of some sunnier weather next week after a miserable weekend with two weather warnings in place.
Meanwhile a miserable weekend is expected in most areas with the worst showers in the north, although there will be some brighter sunnier spells in the middle of the country. "Remaining showery on Sunday, with showers heaviest and most frequent over the northern half of the country early tomorrow. Further heavy showers will move into Munster during the afternoon. Drier across the middle of the country with good sunny spells and just well scattered showers. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees, mildest in the east. Breezy, with moderate westerly winds fresh to strong near coasts.
A forecaster added: "A day of sunny spells and scattered heavy showers on Monday. The showers most frequent through the afternoon. Highs of 17 to 20 degrees, in a light to moderate west to northwest breeze.
