As the summer ends and we head into autumn, we could be blessed with high temperatures this week, the Met Office has said.

Bright sunshine is also forecast for most of the day today. “Although the highest temperatures are likely to be in the south and east of England, these areas also have higher temperature thresholds for heatwave conditions to be declared.
