Gusts are expected to reach up to 51mph in Manchester
High winds are expected across the region this morning as travellers have been warned to prepare for travel disruption.
It comes as many will be travelling across the country for Christmas. The Met Office have told people to expect 'some travel disruption', while Network Rail have urged passengers to check their journeys ahead of time. In Manchester, winds are expected to reach highs of 51mph late on Saturday evening and into the early hours of Sunday morning.
