Strong winds and heavy rain are set to batter Lancashire on Monday with a Met Office yellow warning issued due to Storm Debi
Lancashire is set for heavy rain and strong winds with the Met Office issuing a yellow 'danger to life' warning as Storm Debi hits the United Kingdom. Residents across the county, and the wider north of England, should be braced for 'very strong and disruptive winds' on Monday .
The bad weather may also affect road, rain and ferry services, with cancellations and longer journey times possible. Lancastrians are also warned that the storm may also lead to power cuts and the loss of mobile phone signal.In issuing the yellow alert, the Met Office also added that 'injuries and danger to life could occur from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties'.
