A Met Office yellow weather warning for snow and ice is in place for parts of the UK
Motorists across Britain are being warned of "dangerous" road conditions expected from Sunday , with the Met Office issuing three days of weather warnings for snow and ice. Initially focusing on northern Scotland, the first alert starts at 4pm on Sunday and continues until 11am Monday .
The alert extends to cover large areas including Glasgow and Edinburgh, and will stretch as far south as Huddersfield, from 10am Monday until the same time Tuesday , potentially bringing up to 20cm of snow. Drivers are being advised of "dangerous" driving conditions and to avoid icy roads as much as possible, reports Birmingham Live.
