BRITS are bracing for 75mph gales as the Met Office issued an urgent wind warning today.

"Winds will increase from west to east, with gusts of 55-65 mph likely, and locally as high as 70-75 mph for exposed coasts and hills." Brits were today warned to expect "blustery showers" across the North West of the country today - before rain and drizzle develops overnight.
