The Government department has said northern areas will see warmer temperatures and less rainfall
Hopes of a mini-heatwave in October are still alive in the hearts of sun lovers who feel short changed after a washout summer. And they could be right to keep the faith as warmer-than-usual weather will be hitting northern areas with less rainfall.
Outlining its predictions for October 8 to October 22, the agency said there will be some milder nights predicted alongside the warmer days. And a chance of a more prolonged period of settled weather, following the changeable weather at the end of September. As the we get further into October, dry and settled weather is due to be interspersed with spells of rain and showers. Later in the month, there's a chance that wetter weather may become more common.
