Dr Clare Bailey Mosley has shared her emotional first interview with The One Show since her husband, Dr Michael Mosley, tragically died after disappearing on a Greek island
Dr Clare Bailey Mosley, wife of the late Michael Mosley, has bravely spoken out about the heart-wrenching loss of her husband. The beloved father-of-four tragically passed away at 67 after a harrowing incident on the Greek island of Symi last June. Amidst scorching heat, Michael embarked on a trek from a beach to their accommodation, which led to his untimely death.
While Greek officials deemed his death due to natural causes, an inquest is scheduled for next month in Buckinghamshire, where Michael resided. Before a poignant tribute on Monday's episode of The One Show, host Alex Jones prepared viewers, saying: "But first tonight, we are remembering the work of Dr Michael Moseley, and I have been speaking to the person who knew him best.", reports the Mirror.
The bereaved wife of the late Michael opened up to BBC's Alex in a poignant conversation about her husband's lasting legacy, as she prepared for a final programme celebrating his life and achievements. During the heartfelt interview, Clare was asked by Alex, "How are you doing? How are the children doing? You must still be processing what's happened to Michael."
When asked what Michael was like as a husband and father, Clare fondly remembered him as "was very shy" and shared with Alex, "A lot of people didn't recognise that because he's quite enthusiastic about what he's doing, and he was just kind and thoughtful. He absolutely loved his work, and whatever he did, he checked it out before he put it out there, and so I think that's one of the reasons people really trusted him.
