Israel's military says it has 'almost completely dismantled' Hezbollah's leadership following yesterday's airstrike on Beirut. Lebanese officials say at least 37 people have been killed in Beirut following the attack, including three children and seven women.
Hezbollah has claimed to have targeted an airbase in Israel. The militant group said it fired dozens of missiles at the Ramat David Airbase in response to 'repeated Israeli attacks on Lebanon'. It comes after the Israeli military claimed to have 'almost completely dismantled' Hezbollah's leadership with an attack on Lebanon's capital yesterday.
Wahbi was described as a commander who played major roles within the group for decades and was imprisoned in an Israeli jail in south Lebanon in 1984.Hezbollah said he was one of the 'field commanders' of a 1997 ambush in southern Lebanon that left 12 Israeli troops dead.Earlier, Hezbollah announced that 15 of its operatives were killed by Israeli forces but did not elaborate on the location of these deaths.
