A multimillionaire has successfully had his luxury car craned 57 storeys off the ground and into his lofty new $39 million penthouse apartment in Melbourne. 7NEWS

“It’s a car that we can’t register, and it’s just collecting dust, so I might as well have it somewhere where it’s safe,” he said.Credit:Watched on by a crowd of spectators, the luxury car was delicately hoisted up 57 floors. “A huge thank you to everyone involved for making this absolutely surreal moment happen,” Portelli said.The luxury car will now live in the 34-year-old’s living room, which is still under construction.The 34-year-old described his new apartment as a “blank canvas” that he plans to use as a weekend getaway.
Portelli said he was “very proud and blessed” to be the owner of the most expensive apartment in Melbourne.Adrian Portelli with his luxury McLaren.A tower adjacent to the Sapphire by the Gardens will house the five-star Shangri-La hotel, with a sky bridge running between the two buildings.
