The horrific footage was played in court today as Clifford appeared on trial accused of raping his ex-girlfriend Louise during an attack at their home last year.
Chilling CCTV footage shows the moment crossbow triple killer Kyle Clifford bought rope and petrol cans just days before murdering the family of BBC star John Hunt .
Less than a week later, the defendant drove to the family's home, which he entered by deceiving 61-year-old Carol Hunt, racing commentator John's wife, before stabbing her to death in a 'brutal knife attack'. Kyle Clifford is on trial accused of raping his ex-girlfriend Louise during an attack which saw him murder her and her sister with a crossbow and their mother with a butcher's knifeLouise's father is BBC racing commentator John Hunt, pictured here with his wife Carol
The prosecutor described how after killing Carol Hunt and tying up Louise, he used his ex-girlfriend's mobile to check her Instagram account and search engines. Clifford had allegedly tricked his way into the house and butchered Carol with a 10-inch knife, then lay in wait for Louise, who was working at her dog grooming business in a pod in the garden. The jury was told Louise had shared with her friends that he had a 'nasty temper' and that he behaved in an 'aggressive manner', with her sister Hannah deeming him to be 'disrespectful, rude and arrogant'.
Following their return from the wedding on June 23 last year, 'caring and happy' Louise messaged Clifford saying they 'needed to have a conversation', the court heard, prompting him to respond that he was 'not going to take any s*** from her'. But by June 26, Louise had 'made her position clear' in a message, in which she said: 'I'm sorry Kyle but I feel I can't continue with what we have, I feel like it's been broken.'
Louise Hunt made a note to herself on her phone setting out the 'reasons why she should not be sad about ending the relationship' with Clifford, the court heard. Addressing the defendant's motive to kill his victims, Ms Morgan said: 'Louise instigated the end of the relationship, supported by her friends and family.
'The defendant then waited for Louise to enter the property, before restraining, raping and ultimately murdering her with a crossbow. One part of the note told them: 'Please don't think of me as throwing my life away - I have lived and I am grateful for everything and everyone who has been a part of it.
