More than 1,300 people have been killed after a 6.8 magnitude earthquake in Morocco, officials have said. Many of the fatalities are said to be in hard-to-reach areas south of Marrakech. Tourists have been donating blood, while witnesses have told of their shock as the earthquake hit.
Morocco has declared three days of national mourning.
The organisation said it is"closely monitoring the situation" and a team is deploying support to its partners in Morocco. Many families are still trapped under piles of debris and hopsitals in the city have received an influx of injured people, OCHA added.
