Jack O' Sullivan's mum has said her life has 'completely stopped' six months since he went missing in Bristol. Speaking to BBC Breakfast, Catherine O' Sullivan added 'I'm having to become an investigator, and really I just want to be Jack's mum'.

The mother of missing law student Jack O'Sullivan, who vanished after a night out six months ago, has revealed the family have been sent ransom demands.

She told the BBC: 'I have had messages suggesting that Jack is being held and asking for ransom amounts for him.'But what would anybody do in my situation? I have to read them, as bad as I know it is, putting myself through hell at times, but I can't ignore anything.' Jack O'Sullivan, 23, left a house party in Hotwells on March 2 and never made it homeThe last confirmed sighting of Jack was at 3.

The family say mistakes were made early on in the search and that CCTV footage, placing him in a different location at a different time, was initially missed.'We feel very unsupported by the people we think should have done the most,' she told the BBC.
