While Lampard won’t be in the running for the job long-term, this weekend’s clash with Wolves is a chance to rebuild his reputation. After being sacked by both Chelsea and Everton in recent years, the former midfielder has a point to prove and will be desperate to see Chelsea through a successful few weeks to the end of the season.As well as pushing the club up the league, Lampard will also be tasked with facing Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals.
But first up is a tricky trip to Molineux in the Premier League, with the Blues desperate for three points to get their end-of-season run-in off to the best possible start.Kepa Arrizabalaga has been Chelsea’s number one of late, a role that he held under Lampard during his last reign in charge, meaning that he could start against Wolves.
